المنشأ / The Origin
أوتشر دار أثاث سوريّة المنشأ. تبدأ كلّ قطعة في ورشة بدمشق ما زالت رائحة الجوز فيها أقوى من رائحة الآلة، وتنتهي عند بابك أنت، في أيّ مدينة كنت.
لا صالة عرض لنا ولا وسيط. المتجر إلكترونيّ بالكامل: تختار وتستشير وتطلب أونلاين، ونشحن إليك مباشرة من الورشة. ما يوفر من إيجار الصالة يذهب إلى الخشب واليد.
auture is a Syrian-born furniture house. Every piece begins in a Damascus atelier where the smell of walnut still outweighs the smell of machinery, and ends at your door — in whichever city you are. We keep no showroom and no middleman: the store is entirely online. You browse, consult and order on the web, and we ship to you straight from the workshop. What a showroom would have cost in rent goes into the timber and the hand instead.
الحِرفة / The Craft
Three trades, meeting in one piece.
نبخّر الرقائق، ونطويها على قالب واحد، ونتركها أياماً حتى تنسى استقامتها. لا مسمار ولا وصلة ظاهرة، انحناءة واحدة من طرف إلى طرف.
Persuaded Timber. Laminates steamed, folded onto one mould, left for days until they forget they were straight. No nail, no visible joint.
كلّ حبّةً تقصّ وتبرد وتدقّ في مكانها وحدها. المتر المربّع الواحد يأخذ أسابيع، ولا يخرج مرّتين متطابقاً.
Mother-of-Pearl. Every shard cut, filed and seated by hand. A square metre takes weeks and never repeats.
حفر دمشقيّ بالإزميل، هندسة نجميّة تضبط بالمسطرة وتصحّح بالعين. هي الطبقة التي تقنع القطعة أنّها من هنا.
Hand Carving. Damascene chisel work: a stellar geometry set by the rule, corrected by the eye.
الإصدار / Editions
One of one, or one of ten. Nothing in between.
تصميم ينفّذ مرّة واحدة، ثم يتلف قالبه. لا يعاد صنعه بأيّ مقابل.
Unique piece. A design executed once, after which its mould is destroyed. No one else owns it, and it is not remade at any price.
عشر نسخ فقط من التصميم الواحد، كلّ منها مرقّمة من 1 إلى 10 على ختمها النحاسي. لا نصنع نسخة حادية عشرة.
Limited edition. Ten pieces only of a single design, each numbered 1 to 10 on its brass seal. There is never an eleventh.
نحتفظ بسجلّ لكلّ نسخة: رقمها، وصانعها، وسنة صنعها، ومالكها الأوّل. يبقى السجلّ ما بقيت القطعة.
A permanent record. We keep a record of every piece: its number, its maker, its year and its first owner.
الخامات / Materials
الجوز والزان والتوت من مصادر متتبعة، والصّدف الطبيعي، والرخام، والنحاس الأصفر. لا قشرة صناعية، ولا لون يخفي عيباً. القطعة التي تشتريها اليوم يجب أن تكون أجمل بعد عشرين سنة.
Walnut, beech and mulberry from traceable sources; natural nacre, marble and brass. No synthetic veneer, no finish that hides a fault. The piece you buy today should be more beautiful in twenty years.
الخطوط الأربعة / The Four Lines
Four trades, not four shelves.
القسمة عندنا بحسب اليد التي صنعت، لا بحسب الغرفة التي تذهب إليها القطعة. كل خط حرفة قائمة بذاتها: لها معلمها، وأدواتها، وزمنها الذي لا يختصر.
We divide what we make by the hand that made it, not by the room it goes to. Each line is a trade standing on its own, with its own master, its own tools and its own irreducible time.

01 · الانحناء / The Bend
Timber is not broken into a curve. It is persuaded.

02 · الصَّدَف / The Nacre
Light does not land on nacre. It moves in.

لا لون للصّدف. ما يرى فيه ضوء الغرفة، مكسوراً سبع مرات. Nacre has no colour of its own. What you see in it is the light of your room, broken seven times.

لا آلة في الحفر. ثلاثة أيام للوجه الواحد، ولا سبيل لاختصارها. The carving is not machined. Three days to a face, and no way to shorten them.
التفصيل / Bespoke
Four steps between your idea and the moment you sit in it.
مكالمة نقرأ فيها المكان: القياسات، واتجاه الضوء، والأثر المطلوب عند الدخول.
The Call. A video call in which we read the room with you: measurements, the light, and what you want to feel when you walk in.
رسم يدويّ أوّل، ثم نموذج ثلاثيّ الأبعاد، ثم صندوق عيّنات من الخشب والصّدف يصلك بالبريد قبل أن نقطع لوحاً واحداً.
The Drawing. A hand sketch, then a 3D model, then a box of timber and nacre samples posted to you — before a single board is cut.
45 يوماً لكلّ قطعة، مهما كانت. تصوير من الورشة كلّ أسبوعين، وزيارة دمشق بموعد.
The Atelier. Forty-five days, whatever the piece. Photographs and video every fortnight; a visit to Damascus whenever you wish.
صندوق مبطّن، وشحن جوي مؤمّن إلى باب بيتك في أيّ بلد، وتركيب بتوجيه منّا بالفيديو. ومعها ختم نحاسيّ مرقّم وشهادة باسمك.
The Shipping. A lined crate, insured freight to your door across the UAE and the Gulf, assembly guided over video, a numbered brass seal and a certificate.
الأثر / The Signature
في حرف خفيّ من كلّ قطعة، يطعّم ختم نحاسيّ يحمل رقم النسخة ورقم صانعها وسنة صنعها. ومعها شهادة أصالة باسم مالكها، وسجل يبقى عندنا ما بقيت القطعة.
On a discreet edge of every piece, a brass seal is inlaid bearing the edition number, its maker's number and its year — with a certificate of authenticity in the owner's name, and a record we keep for as long as the piece exists.
